By Megan Thomas

Having watched neither The Office nor The Mindy Project, and actually not knowing who Mindy Kaling was, it was a strange choice for me but I’m really pleased I made it. I will also be watching both of them.
Part memoir, part life-guide, Mindy has a lovely, funny view of the world and shares that through a series of personal essays and lists. From her views on one night stands to her childhood as an androgynous-looking child who loved comedy, no stone is left unturned. There are themes throughout like the importance of best-friendship, love of family, perseverance and the ability to laugh away the pain/hardships/set-backs/embarrassments. A quick, LOL-inducing read that lightened the quarantine which, as of today, I am released from (horay!)
